CLIMATE One of Jamaica’s greatest attractions is its tropical maritime climate. The temperature along the coast averages a near-constant 80 degrees to 86 degrees Fahrenheit year-round. Thus, seasons are virtually nonexistent. Temperatures fall steadily with increasing altitude, but even the Blue Mountains average 65 degrees or more. Monthly temperatures range in the 60s also, with February and March usually the coolest months.

The rainy season begins in May or June and lasts through November or December, with the heaviest rains in September and October. However, rain can fall at any time of year – normally in short, heavy showers, often followed by sun.
LANGUAGE English, however most Jamaicans speak a blend of English and African called Patois.
